The authentication requirement is the single biggest friction point for Lofter. Every other access pattern works the same as any other supported platform — the login wall is the variable you need to plan around.

Lofter hosts both original fiction and fan fiction (二次创作). For fan fiction derived from published works, the copyright situation is ambiguous — this is true of Chinese fan fiction hosting in general, not specific to Lofter.
